Switzerland on Thursday lifted several already suspended economic sanctions against Iran, following last month's historic deal between Tehran and world powers on the Iranian nuclear programme.

The Russian economic crisis, fuelled by tensions from the war in Ukraine, threatens more than 40,000 jobs in Switzerland and 2.5 million jobs across Europe, according to a study conducted for three Swiss newspapers and journals from three other countries.
